If you’re new to sewing or haven’t sewn for ages and forgotten what’s what with your sewing machine then this is the just the workshop you need.

You will spend the first hour getting to know or brushing up on your sewing machine settings and dials then put everything in to practice as you learn to make a lined tote bag.

During the workshop you will cover sewing and neaten seams, use of different stitches, simple and invisible hemming, creating button holes plus you’ll get hints and tips for a professional finish. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and you’ll get lots of individual attention so you can leave feeling confident about using your sewing machine enabling you to create lots more after the workshop.

Please bring your sewing machine, it’s manual, half a meter of both medium weight cotton fabric and a contrasting lighter weight cotton or calico fabric  (optional – for lining your bag) your sewing basket with scissors, threads, pins etc.
