Nicholas Howard

Nicholas produces thrown ceramics in both porcelain, stoneware and earthenware inspired by both British studio ceramics and Chinese and Korean master potters.  

Like many potters he particularly enjoys the challenge of throwing tall bottles and vases and using new glazes and decorative effects. 

Since making his first pot at the age of seven Nicholas has been excited by the challenges and possibilities of working in clay. He comes from a long line of potters and was first taught by his father and then went on to study at Oaklands college and the University of Hertfordshire.
